Volunteer FAQs

Not at all. Most HOFCD roles are designed for motivated first-timers. We provide full orientation and field training before your first assignment. Roles like ZERF responder and medical camp may have basic physical or educational requirements, which are noted in each role description.
All HOFCD volunteer positions are unpaid. However, you receive an official certificate, verified registration, field training, and an experience that holds real weight in professional and academic contexts.
It depends on your role. Teaching and training roles require 2–8 hours per week. Emergency response roles are on-call and activated only during disasters. Remote roles like translation are fully flexible. We work around your schedule.
Yes. Many Pakistani universities accept HOFCD volunteer hours for internship credit or community service requirements. We provide official documentation confirming your service hours and role description on HOFCD letterhead.
Yes. We have active project offices in Hyderabad and Mailsi, and remote roles available to volunteers anywhere in Pakistan. Outstation volunteers can also apply for seasonal drives and field camps.
Volunteers are expected to respect community members' dignity, maintain confidentiality of beneficiary information, follow HOFCD's non-discrimination policy, and represent the organization professionally. A full code of conduct is shared during orientation.
